Primary Level Classroom News

In the Preprimary classrooms at Cowles Elementary each classroom has a “Cultural Area” where students learn about the seven continents and the people who live on these continents.  Each classroom has a “Continent Puzzle” plus puzzles of North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia.  All countries on each continent puzzle are represented in different colors thus allowing the students to visually notice the size and shape of each country. By using these continent puzzles the students are able to trace, color and label the countries on each continent, this allows the students to differentiate the size and placement of each continent.  The following are some examples of Preprimary students who have completed this work.
