Cowles Donates

Did you know you could donate fresh produce to your local food pantries? Any produce from the gardens at Cowles that is not harvested by parents/staff will be donated to local food pantries. If you have excess produce from your own garden at home contact Cultivate Iowa and they can provide a list of locations to donate to. The Iowa Food Systems Council launched Cultivate Iowa, an initiative promoting the benefits of food gardening and produce donation to create a sustainable future and healthier communities in Iowa.  http://www.cultivateiowa.org/donate-produce/
