Middle School Classroom News

Middle School students are immersed in their AR or DM class. AR is starting basic programming with RobotC. They will be assembling a fully automated railroad crossing and programming the bars to move up and down. DM is learning sketching techniques and will be using the Autodesk Inventor program soon. Autodesk Inventor is a computer aided drafting program.

We have started giving back to our community at Cowles. We do community service within our building. Currently, we have Café Clean and Garbage Getters up and running. Several of our students help in the primary classrooms throughout the day.

The students are working on the courtyard. In random groups the students assembled eight picnic tables. The tree branches growing through the courtyard fence were trimmed by another group of students. The students enjoy the opportunity to be outside on nice days as the courtyard is in use during lunch time and during work times. Finally, we are working on the middle school square foot garden and getting it ready to plant fall vegetables.
