Upper Level News

Upper Level Classroom NewsDid you know that the nation of Iraq is home to one of the earliest civilizations of human kind?  Can you name the difference between a dicot and monocot stem?  Have you ever been the country of Luxembourg? Hopefully, by the end of the school year, the upper elementary students will have the answers.  The students in upper elementary are hard at work learning about Ancient Civilizations, the Plant kingdom and Europe.

Throughout the year, students have been working hard at improving their writing skills.  We are currently working on persuasive essays.  So, don’t be too surprised when your child comes home with a paper asking for a dog or cat to add to the family.

The 6th year students are gearing up for their annual trek to the YMCA Camp in Boone for their environmental overnight on May 1 and 2.  This is a yearly tradition that helps the students to learn more about the environment as well as create social connections with peers from the other classrooms for next year.
